There are a diversity of Christian beliefs and experiences, as well as a variety of ways that these may interact with eating disorder experiences. Even if you are familiar with a person’s Christian tradition, it is important not to assume that you know what their beliefs are, or how these might be relevant to their eating disorder. Each person is different, and as with other aspects of assessment, it is important to be curious and explore this area with the individual.
